Wahl Construction
Over the years as a Project Manager for Alberta Health Services at the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital, Wahl Construction has successfully completed many projects for Alberta Health Services, large and small.
At the time, the Medicine Hat region included Bow Island, Brooks, Bassano, Oyen and Medicine Hat, all of which Wahl Construction has completed work for Alberta Health Services.
All the facilities are a 24/7 operation making all projects complicated. Wahl Construction’s very capable, knowledgeable work force was always able to complete their work safely while accommodating Alberta Health Services staff and patients.
In the last few years Infection Prevention & Control (IP&C) became a very important and large part of any project within the facilities. Wahl Construction was able to adapt to the IP&C requirements, sending manpower to courses to ensure all IP&C requirements were met. Wahl Construction was excellent in this process.
Some examples of projects Wahl Construction completed:
1. Oyen Emergency Re-development, approximate value $6.5 Million
2. Brooks Emergency Re-development, approximate value $5 Million
3. Medicine Hat Regional Hospital Medical Device Reprocessing (MDR) renovation
4. EMS Sub-Station renovation
5. Geriatric Out Patient Mental Health (GOHM) renovation
6. Bow Island Alfred Eagan Home mold remediation and re-build
7. Building and installing extensive mill work throughout the region
8. Built a lease facility for Alberta Health Services to house Environmental Health, Healthy Living
Wahl Construction was also always available on short notice.
Wahl Construction assisted with emergency work after a generator fire at the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital. The work consisted of demolishing, then rebuilding the generator room working around active mechanical and electrical equipment.
Foundation repair at the front entrance of the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital. The work consisted of digging up approximately 50 feet of the foundation to the footings, water proofing the exterior, all while the main entrance remained open. The interior work included demolition of the interior then re-build.
These are just a few of the projects Wahl Construction successfully completed in the region.
